Daniel Taub – Ambassador and Advocate for Peace

Daniel Taub is the ambassador of Israel to the United Kingdom and can take pride in the improved relations of Israel with the United Kingdom in recent years.

Mr Taub served as ambassador to Israel for a total of four years, starting from 2011. During his term, trade between the two nations surged.

There was also a boost to cultural and educational links between Israel and the UK. The British Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, and Skills, Mr Sajid Javid, has called Mr. Taub’s term as the golden era for both the nations concerning trade. Born in the year 1962, Daniel Taub received his education at a school located in Hertfordshire and later, the University College of Oxford and University College in the UK.

He then left for Israel in 1989 and worked in the Israel Defence Forces as a medical aide and in  the law division of the military. Daniel Taub is the Director of Strategy and Planning at the Yad Hanadiv at present. His career as a diplomat began in 1991 when he became a part of the foreign ministry of Israel.

He is served as a member of Israel’s negotiation teams in negotiations such as those between Israel and Syria, and the Annapolis talks with the Palestinians. He also acted as legal counsel to Israel at numerous meetings at the United Nations He also advocates for peace among Israel and Palestine, through negotiations and talks.

Daniel Taub is has written a number of books, including Parasha Diplomatit, which examines the biblical or Torah verses with a touch of humor.

He has also written widely in newspapers, Including

the Guardian, the Huffington Post, the Times and the Daily Telegraph. His writing career began as a speechwriter for \Chaim Herzog, the president of Israel.

Mr. Taub has also written the script of a Jewish television series called ‘Rebbe’s Court’ or HeChatzer. This series aired on a channel called Tchelet.

He is also adept in the knowledge of international regulations and in particular, war and terrorism. He is an invited speaker at many forums and often talks on these subjects.
