Peter Briger has gone on to have one of the most successful careers in the history of the finance world but not many accountants know how he was able to pull that off in the first place. Peter Briger was born & raised in the suburbs of Trenton & this is when he first knew he wanted to go into the field of finance. As such, he strived to get straight a’s during his time in high school. After he finished first in his class, he would go on to college but could not decide which one he wanted to matriculate at in the first place. But in the end Peter Briger found out that Princeton was the right path for him to take. So he went on to enroll there in the fall of 85 & tried his best to ensure that his GPA was as high as it could be. Once he got it up to 4.0, he went on to attend a career fair so he could figure out what he wanted to do when he was done with his academic career.
It was here that he managed to get a lot of contacts that would come in handy in the next few years. Peter Briger then went on to enroll at U Penn so he could pursue his MBA over the next 3 years. He knew this would be a lofty goal but was determined to ensure that he would be a big success. As he closed the door on his academic career, he went on to found FIG in the fall of 98. He did not know whether this would do well but he has led them successfully for more than 25 years. Peter Briger resides in the suburbs of Philly with his wife & kids.
